Wheeler Donald W. Wheeler, age 81, of Bloomington. Graduate of South High. World War II veteran awarded the Bronze Star. Professional baseball career with the Minneapolis Millers and the Chicago White Sox. Retired US Postal Service carrier. Spent many years officiating high school and college sports. He was a penalty time keeper for the Minnesota North Stars and worked the sidelines for the Minnesota Vikings 32 years. Survived by wife, Helen "Shine"; children, Terry (Kathy) of Englewood, FL, Ron of Deadwood, SD, Debbie Wheeler & husband, David Vichorek of Maple Grove; Scott (Tanya) of Savage; grandchildren, Chris, Jennifer, Courtney, Zack, Jason and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service Monday, 10:30 am, Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 9100 Russell Ave S, Bloomington. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
