LOS ANGELES (AP) - Roland Seidler, a member of the family that formerly owned the Los Angeles Dodgers and founder of the California investment firm The Seidler Companies, has died. He was 77.

Seidler died Thursday, according to his late father-in-law's organization, the Walter O'Malley Foundation. A cause of death wasn't released.

In 1958, Seidler married Terry O'Malley, the daughter of Dodgers owner Walter O'Malley and sister of former Dodgers president Peter O'Malley.

Seidler held several positions within the Dodgers organization, including membership on the board of directors and treasurer, from 1975 until the team was sold in 1998.

In 1969, he started the Seidler Companies, an investment banking and financial services firm.
