(AP) Chico Salmon, 59, known as "Super Sub" when he played with the Indians from 1964 to 1968, died of a heart attack on September 17th in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.

    Primarily and infielder, Salmon hit .249 with 31 homers and stole 46 bases in his big league career, which finished in 1972 in Baltimore.

    Salmon also became legendary for his fear of ghosts. He refused to sleep in his hotel room unless the lights were on.

    After retiring as a player, Salmon worked as a scout and managed Panama in the World Amateur Baseball Series. He continued to coach youth teams until his death.
