Ronald Frank Mrozinski, 75, of Washington, NJ, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 in his home with his family by his side.

Born: In White Haven, Pa, he was a son of the late Frank and Lydia Starner Mrozinski. Personal: Ron retired in 1995 after 31 years of service to American Can Co. in Washington, NJ. Ron also played 13 years of professional baseball as a left handed pitcher. His baseball career included two seasons, 1954-1955, with the Philadelphia Phillies. He retired from baseball in 1962. Even though he excelled in baseball, his favorite sport to play was basketball.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and NASCAR fan. His favorite times were spent fishing with his son, Ron and his best friend, Bud. Memberships: Ron was a member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni. He is also inducted into the Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame which also included a recent induction into the Carbon County Chapter.

He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg. Survivors; He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Barbara Juanita Hill; his son, Ronald Jeffrey and his wife, Barbara of Hackettstown; two grandchildren, Steven and Traci; two sisters, Ellen Leone of Oakland, NJ, and Avis Ebner of Easton, Pa; and several nieces and nephews. Services: A viewing will be held on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ with a service beginning at 7:30 p.m. The burial will be private.
