Mr. Dick Drury Sr., 81, of St. Albans went home to be with his wife and Lord October 7, 2009, in Dunbar Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Drury was retired from WCHS-TV with 39 years of service and was a Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, former Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout leader and baseball coach. Dick was a former professional baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates for five years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Dolores Drury.

He is survived by his son, Dickie and wife, Terri Drury, of St. Albans; and two granddaughters, Staci and Bethany.

A tribute to the life of Mr. Dick Drury will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 9, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Loretta Isaiah and the Rev. Ravi Isaiah officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV 25177.
