Herschel E. Lyons

LYONS, Herschel E. (92) California native, survived by his beloved wife Dolores of 62 years and loving and devoted son James, along with many nieces and nephews.

While playing professional baseball, he met his wife in Rochester, New York. He was a World War II veteran with service in Italy and Africa.

For over 25 years, he was an elementary school principal in the Los Angeles Unified School District. During an extended retirement, he enjoyed boating, church work and following major league baseball.

Services will be Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 6705 W. 77th St., Westchester.
