Roy Johnson,
who shall form part of the Pirates of Campeche. Of which was a symbol
and who was one of the s most powerful hitters who have come to ba ©
isbol Mexican, died yesterday in the ³ 50 years of age, victims
of a myocardial infarction.
Johnson was considered one of the three players ¡ticos emblem
of the Pirates in recent years, along with Herminio DomÃnguez
and Francisco Campos.
In Mexican League Baseball, Johnson wore the uniform of the Pirates
of Campeche, resulting in 428 races, connect ³ 1169 and its unstoppable
overall batting average was .331, with left-handed batter.
In his career in Baseball, he hit a record 4 home runs in one game,
imposed on April 24, 1991 against the Rieleros de Aguascalientes, a
record shared with Derek Bryant (former helmsman of the Sultans of Monterrey)
and Miguel Ojeda (former catcher for the San Diego Padres).
A native of Parkin, Arkansas, USA, Roy Johnson was a 6' 2" left-handed
batter.
Joining the team
in 2004, they were crowned champions of the Mexican Summer League by
defeating Saltillo in five games.
In 1991, a campaign where the Pirates ranked third with a 70-50 mark
in wins and lost five games in the leader of the Diablos Rojos Mexico,
