Alexander Garbowski, 86, of Putnam Valley, NY and formerly of Yonkers, NY died on June 27, 2008.

He was born on June 25, 1922 to the late Adolf and Kamilia (nee Jamiokowska) Garbowski in Yonkers. Alexander served in the US Army from 1942 to 1946.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Marie (nee Popot), his daughter Geraldine, his brothers Michael and Edward and his sister Jane Watkins.

He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Garbowski of Jensen Beach, FL and his sons: James (wife Patricia) of Hopewell Jct., NY; Michael (wife Linda) of New Fairfield, CT; Jerry (wife Judy) of New Fairfield, CT; John (wife Lynn) of Pauquah, NY; and Joseph (wife Stefanie) of Putnam Valley, NY.

He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Calling hours will be at FLYNN MEMORIAL HOME, on Central Park Avenue, on Sunday from 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass Monday, 10 AM, at St. Mary's Church.
