CHICAGO - Funeral services will be held Monday for former National League
pitcher Dick Drott who died of stomach cancer at his home in
suburban Glendale Heights.
Drott who pitched for the Chicago Cubs from 1957 to
1961 before joining Houston for his last two major league seasons, was 49.
The Cincinnati native retired from baseball in 1964 and went to work for
the Chicago Park District, where he was baseball director from 1968 until
his death.
Funeral services are to be announced.
