Deiters, Gerritt George Jr. "Gary" Formerly of St. Paul Passed away unexpectedly December 10, 2008. He was born on October 22, 1930, in St. Paul, MN, to Gerritt and Helen Deiters.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Gerritt (Linda) Deiters, Barbara (Jay) Myers, and Susan (Thomas) Bragiel; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Gretchen (Ronald) Diegnau; nephew, Paul (Cindy) Diegnau; and niece, Suzanne (Bob) Wasiluk.

He graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1948. He played professional baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1948-1950.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1953 and was a Purple Heart recipient in the Korean War. He married Nancy in September of 1955.

He was a marketing executive for over 45 years with Marigold Foods, Land O'Lakes and Idahoan Foods. Gary and Nancy retired and moved to Arizona in 1995.

A memorial service will be held at the Anglican Church of St. Dunstan, in St. Louis Park, MN, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 11AM.
