NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Rufus "Jake" Crawford, 80, a loving husband and father, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Plaza, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

Rufus was born March 30, 1928, in Campbell, Mo. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Fort Worth Police Department. Rufus was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy.
