Carpenter, 87, of Evergreen Park, IL, beloved husband of the late Helen, nee Hodovanec; loving father of Karen (Donald) Felch and Roger (Kathleen) Carpenter; loving grandfather of Timothy (Lisa) and Laura Felch, Jill, Lindsay and Jessica Carpenter; loving companion and confidante of Dorothy Schaaf of Evergreen Park. Former professional baseball player for the New York Giants and Chicago Cubs. Former partner of F.I. DuPont. Former member of the Chicago Board of Trade. Active in the Evergreen Park Boys Club and First United Methodist Church. Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #1171 of Evergreen Park. In lieu of flowers, dontions to the First United Methodist Church of Evergreen Park or the Salvation Army. Visitation at Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S.
