From Associated Press ATLANTA -- Former Atlanta Braves reliever Larry Bradford died after suffering a heart attack Friday, Sept. 11 at Turner Field. Bradford pitched for the Braves in 1977 and then from 1979 through 1981. Selected by the Braves in the 18th round of the 1973 draft, he compiled a 6-4 record with seven saves and an ERA of 2.51 in 104 games -- all with Atlanta. The Baseball Encyclopedia and Braves biography records give conflicting ages for Bradford, one listing him at 48, another at 51. No other information was immediately available about Bradford. |
